My LO starts daycare tomorrow and it will be my first day back to work after a 11 week leave.... I hope I can make it through the day without tears... Please send positive thoughts.
Delivered 3 weeks and 2 days early via emergency c/s due to pre-e
Tomorrow starts my 3rd week back to work. The first day was the worst. I cried all the way into work the first day (um, I might have cried myself to sleep the night before). The second day was a little easier, then the third day was even easier.
My point is, it was really hard at first but it does get much easier. Good luck to you--it'll be ok!
I had a co-worker (also a working mom) tell me that I'll come to think of work as a vacation from my LO. Uh, not quite there yet. I don't see that happening.
I had a hard time going back to work. I really missed her and couldn't wait to see her at the end of the day. Now I still can't wait to see her at the end of the day, but I think of her and how much fun she has playing with all her friends at the playground, going to play dates, going to the zoo etc - while I get to enjoy work that I like. It definitely got so much easier. For me, it's a great balance between family and work.
