Preemies

Intro.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself.  I am a new mom of a little girl who was born about one week ago at 28.5 weeks.  This is all still very new to me and I have a lot to learn, so I probably won't post much.  But I look forward to reading everyone's stories and asking some questions every now and then.

  • Welcome.  I'm new here too with 28 weeker twins.  We probably had very close due dates Wink  I hope your little girl is doing well.

  • Welcome & congratulations! NICU is a rollercoaster, but we'll be here to help you along <3
  • Welcome!  Don't be afraid to post.  I don't think I would have made it through the NICU without the girls on this board.  Looking forward to getting to know you!

Miles and Owen are doing really well so far.  I can't believe they are almost a week old!  The mix of the hormones, drugs, and the whole situation were completly overwhelming!  I know this is just the start, but at least things are starting to level off a bit and calm down.

  • Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Mrs. Alice, glad to hear your boys are doing well.  I know exactly what you mean about things starting to call down a little bit and being able to deal with the "new"normal.

  • Welcome! I had a 28 weeker too. He is now a very happy and healthy 5 month old (2 month adjusted). Our biggest issue is his reflux. Please feel free to ask as many questions as you want... we have ALL been there, so we know exactly how you are feeling and what you are going through. This board was so helpful to me when I was going through the NICU journey... I don't think I would have made it without the support here!

Here is hoping for a very uneventful NICU stay for your LO! Congrats on becoming a Mommy!!!

  • Welcome! I hope your NICU stay is short and uneventful!
