Babies: 6 - 9 Months

what high chair do you have?

Love it? Hate it?Our dog ate the chicco polly one we had with our first two. Can't say I was too broken up about it though. That thing was a giant pita to clean.I don't want to spend a fortune on one for DD but I don't want another I hate either. Suggestions?

  • We have the FP Space Saver and we love it. My only issue is that the cover is shaped so food falls beneath it, but if he's eating a messy meal we just take it off.

  • Graco blossom 4 in 1 (has a seperate booster seat, so use can use it for a toddler and an infant). Love it. Bought it because it had good reviews, we plan on having kids 2 to 2.5 years apart (so I could use the seat and the highchair at the same time). There are 3 trays-we just take off the clear plastic one to wash. It has the 5 belt harness thing, which is kind of a pain but I know he won't get out.

  • We also have the Graco blossom 4 in 1 and I really like it. Ds is small for his age and doesn't have very good trunk support since he has low tone, but he sits very well in this chair and it is very secure. So I already feel like it was worth the money. Knowing that we can use it for all other stages is bonus.

  • We have the Cosco Fold Flat Highchair. It was about $35. It is easy to fold, fairly easy to clean, and cheap. It doesn't have any of the amenities that the expensive ones do- extra trays, fold back seats, etc- but it works well for us.

DS switched to a booster seat when he was 9 months old. (He had surgery and his doc recommended it. I had my doubts but DS loved it from day one.) I don't think DD will still be in a highchair at 1 year.

This is what we have. He tends to get really sweaty in it, so I put something behind his head (like a burp cloth) to put a piece of fabric between his head and the cover.

I like that I can easily put the chair in other rooms of the house.  He likes to sit up, but doesn't really like his exersaucer.  We put him in it for a few minutes & link some toys to the straps.

  • We have the fisher price healthy care booster seat. It is hands the best, most used baby item ever. My older son still uses his as a booster. It's easy to take places, easy to clean. My younger son has his own now an loves it. We borrowed a full size high chair and it was so hard to clean, and looked like crap in our house.
  • We have the wooden kinds from restaurants. I wanted a wooden highchair without a tray that you could pull up to the table without having to spend $300, like the svan or stokke brands. We love it.

  • We have the Graco Blossom 4-in-1 high chair. We love it so far, though we haven't gotten to use the other configurations for when he's older, yet. I have no complaints about it at all  - lots of options to adjust, easy to clean!  I liked the Chicco Polly when I looked at it online but decided not to get it after reading a lot of reviews that said it was a PITA to clean.

  • Add me to the cosco fold flat tally. It's cheap, easy to clean, and does its job, that's all I really wanted out of a high chair, so I'm extremely pleased with it.

  • We're using a cheap graco one that we used with our first DS. I think it's alright. Easy to clean, cheap and it goes with my kitchen Stick out tongue.

We also have a fisher price space saver one that we have yet to bust out, but I remember really liking it.
