another annoying stranger question: Are you excited??!!!??

seriously.. WTF am i supposed to say other than.. Oh yes, we are very excited!!!

do people really want to know if the answer isn't a positive one? there are some days i am very excited and some days i am scared or some days i am not feeling well... holy crap, it varies....

By the end of my last pregnancy I wanted to get a shirt made that said: "It's a boy, I'm due Dec 10, no name yet, yes it's my first, and yes I'm excited."

People are usually genuinely excited and curious, but yeah, the constant questions get old SO fast!

i haven't gotten.. "Are you ready?" but i would be super annoyed with that one too!!!

and "you gotta have.. one more, two more, a girl or boy... or whatever else people think you should have... I wish there were buttons that people could wear like yellow ribbons, or pink ribbons that somehow conveyed.. Pregnancy is going well, no worries, and NO UNSOLICITED advice, comments requested....

OMG I got the "Do you have everything you need yet?" at 4 months pregnant! Huh? My friend and I that were talking just looked at her like she was a lil bit crazy. I didn't know what else to say so I just said "Umm...no...I have quite a bit of time to get ready though." **facepalms** I need to get a blooming tshirt printed too I think. Lol!

We went to dinner with my parents and grandma yesterday. The waitress was horrible. We went to Red Lobster, so all got an app to split (not for me, though, because they all have lobster and I'm vegetarian). I ordered salad with sides. I was starving, she brought out soups and the app, but no salads. So I had nothing to eat.

She proceeded to screw up orders, would say she'd be right back with something we needed and disappear forever. At the very end was when she finally was at our table a fair bit.. and then she had realized I was pregnant and started in on the 20 questions. I still wanted to smack her for not bringing me anything to eat for so long and all the other stuff that I didn't hide my annoyance with the questions.

She definitely did the "are you excited" too after the other rapid fire questions. And I think I just sat there and stared by that point.

I get "are you ready" all the time. Not really sure what they mean, because I'm only 31 weeks, so now, I'm not ready for her to come now, it's not time. I assume they mean ready by having everything we need, but still I think it's a strange comment. Especially from people that know I had a 32 weeker.

Yes, that annoys me. I just say "of course" but what really annoys me is "are you ready" I'm just uhh yea, we still need quite a bit of stuff but haven't had my shower yet, so we are waiting..... do I really need to let you in on what I still need before the baby comes? or do you really just want to know if I'm emotionally ready, because in that case, probably not! seriously. don't ask dumb questions.

People just don't know what to say. No, they don't expect you to say anything other than 'yes.' I guess they think it's exciting, and/or are excited for you, so that's what comes out of their mouth.

At least they're nto saying what one store employee said to my 8-month old pregnant sister: "Better you than me!"

I hate the 'are you excited' more then 'how do you feel' - next time I want to say "No we aren't excited at all" Or if it is the "are you getting excited?" I want to say "yea just starting to because I wasn't at all excited before"

ugh or the comments on being pregnant on the summer..... Confused
