Babysitting Rates?

I know this gets asked a fair amount but I can't seem to find a recent post on it. We are having someone babysit DD for the first time and when I asked her what she charged per hour she said she wasn't sure - whatever we would want to pay her. She is a high school senior and DD is 2 months old. Can anyone share what they pay their sitter? Tks!

We pay our sitter $15/hour, but she is an adult. For a high school senior, I would start at $10/hour. If you are happy with how she cares for your child, I'd give her a "raise" to $12.
