My brain hurts trying to decide

on a convertible car seat.  I was going to buy the Britax during the black friday Target sale, but I wasn't too excited about DS having a hot pink carseat.  Now I can't decided which to get and try to save some $$.  I really like the Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite but the Britax Roundabout costs about the same.  Help a sista out, I've got 3 more hours left of work and I'm tired of reading reviews.  What car seat are you getting?

  • We got a Britax Marathon.  Haven't used it yet but I read a TON of reviews and feel confident in my decision.  Such a hard choice!

  • We got the britax roundabout 55 on amazon, we've only had it less than a week, but I love it so far. It's really sturdy, and the padding is so much softer than his infant carrier. He doesn't cry nearly as much in this one, I think it's a lot more comfortable for him.

  • I got the one on the target blackfriday sale.

I wonder if they make a cover to hide the pink?

  • We have the Graco comfortsport convertible and have used it since day 1 (we thought it would be a waste of money to buy and infant and convertible car seat shortly after.)

It is rear-facing 5-30 lbs, and is front facing for toddlers 20-40lbs. It seems pretty comfortable, seeing as how LO falls asleep instantly in the car. The reviews I have read are all positive. Not sure if you need something to specifically fit your car, but the one we have fits very well in DH's silverado and my equinox SUV. I think we got ours for about $65.

  • We have the Evenflo Triumph 65 and love it. It's pretty wide though and we'll never be able to fit 3 car seats in the back seat with the seats we have now.

  • I LOVE LOVE our Graco Nautilue Elite!!!! I can't say enough good about it! I like the Elite version even though it's more $ because it has the seatbelt lock buckle on the side. Just added security. I like that the 5pt harness goes up to 65lbs too.

  • We got the safety first complete air 65 lx. It took some finagling to get it installed correctly but I am happy with it so far. We have a Toyota highlander, and even with the recline, we had to use pool noodles to adjust the rearfacing angle. It fits in our middle seat with no room to spare, but we are able to have the front sears all the way back, which is a must with our long legs.

This seat seems really tall, but I wonder if all convertibles are this way?

I liked the AOE but preferred the side impact protection of the CA. The down size OS that we may have to invest in a booster later. His growth has been all over the place, so we didn't want to invest too far in advance.

GL! You'll make a good decision!

I'm pretty sure this is the one I saw at Target yesterday.  It was even on clearance for $125.  Now I'm on their website and of course it's not online and I live 1 1/2 hours away.  I think it's between this one and the Safety 1st Air Complete.  Thank you ladies for your recs!!!
