I have a bouncy seat and DD is only okay in it for max 20 min if I put her in it when she is calm. Sometimes I get less than 5min. I don't really have room to have a bouncy and swing and some combinations seem to only have the swing go back and forth and not side to side. I have heard great things about Mamaroo and she always falls asleep in the car and this has a car ride setting. I also love that it can be plugged in instead of battery operated. Do your LOs like their Mamaroo? I really want to be sure before buying it as it is a heafty investment.

Re: Does Mamaroo work for you?
We had great hopes for ours, but LO won't spend 5 minutes in it without throwing a fit. Our biggest complaints were that the movements were not fast enough to soothe and the mobile was not interesting to him. I ordered it from Amazon, so we will be sending it back.
Picked up the FP Snugabunny swing yesterday and he has spent hours playing and napping in it already. Some people have had good luck with the Mamaroo, though, so it all depends on the baby. I would save the box so you can return it if need be. Both Amazon and BRU will take it back even if you've used it a bit.
Good luck!!
It calms my LO...just a few hours ago he was hungry but I was hungry too. I needed at least 5 mins of quiet to scarf down something before making him a bottle and feeding him or else I would get a migraine. I put him in the mamaroo and made a quick cheese sandwich. By the time i finished eating it he was asleep.
I was shocked b/c nothing calms him when he is hungry. I never tried putting him in the mamaroo when he is hungry before b/c he is just so angry. But lo and behold it worked like a miracle. I just left him in there to see how long he would nap. 20 mins later he woke up screaming for the bottle...lol I didn't figure it would keep him long since I knew he was hungry when I put him in but now I know how to calm him while making a bottle!
