  • I can't remember the name of it, but we got DD's at Sam's Club about a month ago.  It's really nice and firm, and she sleeps great on it.  We just got the mattress, not the boxspring as we put it on a platform bed.  It was around $300.

  • We really like DS's mattress.  We got it from PBK when we got his bedroom set but PBK mattresses are Serta.

  • When shopping for a twin sized mattress recently the sales person (who works on commission) told me to go LOW end for small child's mattress.

He explained that the lowest end mattress right now is about what a high end mattress was 10 years ago.

They're small and don't weigh much.

They don't put too much wear on a mattress so he recommended going cheap now and planning on replacing it in 10 - 12 years when he'll weigh enough and it will be old enough that it will matter and be time to get something better.

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
  • I'm a brand whore. I love Sealy.  They have some reasonably priced models so we went with one of their entry level ones.  Nevertheless they are known for quality so I'm glad I went with them.

DS will soon be outgrowing his toddler bed as well.  When it's time, I'm going to get a twin from The Original Mattress Factory (their most basic kind).  I like the "flip-able" mattresses and their box springs really have a "spring" to it unlike what's mostly out there now.

They had a mattress (two sided) and box spring for around $200.  I just have to buy the frame.  Can't beat that.
