I have a 3.5 year old boy that I would like to tie up at times. He is getting into everything, will not answer you and will say No to almost everything. Is it bad that I'm kind of looking forward to going back to work in 3 weeks?
I have a 3.5 year old DD and she's driving me nuts!!! She throws tantrums like no ones business, especially in public because she knows she won't get in as much trouble as she would at home. She whines ALL the time about everything! Naptime can be a disaster because she will literally spend over an hour screaming about how she has to go potty, I tell her to come go potty and she screams she has to take a nap. Ugh! I totally dread going anywhere with her because she is almost guaranteed to throw a fit and make the trip miserable. She is so much more tiring than my 7 week old DS! I am simply exhausted.
Your not alone...mine just turned 4. She ruins every thing I do for/with her by trying to get negative attention. It is hard to WANT to do special things with her.

This is exactly how I feel! She says she wants to get ice cream, so we take her once in a while and she turns her nose up, crosses her arms and refuses to eat it! I took her to Chick Fil A once because they have their playplace and she starts throwing herself on the ground and screaming when it's time to leave. I dread having to take her anywhere at this point. I hate feeling like that, but I can't stand the tantrums.
I have to admit I'm now smiling just a little knowing it's not just my kid! today, however, we had a GREAT day...which...if the pattern continues means tomorrow we'll be back in hell!

Re: anyone with a 3 year old????
FWIW, I've heard that the half years are always hard. It has been true for us at least. I hope things get better for you soon.
