I love him but sometimes I wonder...

DH is the best but I sometimes wonder if he actually thinks about the things he says before he actually says them.  I was laying on the couch today and my shirt was not covering my belly and he says, "My you're looking particularly round today." I could have smacked him after he said that but I know he means well.

    My DH does the same thing. The other night I was changing for bed and he said, "Holy crap!" I said, "What? What's wrong?" He said, "Nothing...I didn't realize it until now but you really look pregnant. When you see yourself from the front you really don't look that big but, from the side your belly is huge!" I could have smacked him!

    Oh my DH looks at my belly and exclaims "it's huge" on almost a daily basis.

    LMAO - ya it's shocking for him when he watches me change & do my nightly skin routine before bed.  You'd think he would have gotten used to it by now, lol.  His eyes buldge out, his mouth hangs open, and then he starts laughing at me (it's harder for me to bend over, I grunt getting in/out of bed, etc.).  He thinks HE IS the only one freaking out at how big I'm getting, how real this is becoming, and how in less than 8wks our lives are going to change forever.  I find it funny watching him watch me and seeing the realization on his face sink in....that he is going to have to grow up and be responsible because he'll be a dad, and our LO will be looking up to him as a role model - BAHAHAHA! 

    OH MY - don't even get me started with how nervous he is about labour & delivery...family/friends are taking bets as to how long it will take him before he passes out. LMAO!

    I mostly just feel fat the majority of the time, so to have my husband say I look pregnant is almost a compliment.  For the longest time my bump looked like a tubby belly and now that its rounded out and firmed up, I don't feel so bad about it.

    I don't think anything above is offensive.  We're getting bigger.  So what!  It's exciting because it means that our babies are almost here.  It's not like your husbands are saying- gosh your ass is huge, nice kankles, or look at those thunder thighs rubbing together.  They're talking about the babies growing inside our bellies.  It's amazing.  Let them be excited!

    I'm sure he doesn't. Wink I like to call this a malfunction from brain to mouth. My husband and my FIL both have this condition. My FIL is about 10 degrees worse than my husband though. He came over a couple of weeks ago and says "Hey baby, your getting fat" I said, "well that was rude". He didn't realize what he said was inappropriate until I told him........

    Well at least all of you ladies have nice DHs!  Mine hasn't commented on my belly at all other than saying how skinny I used to be and asking if I would get back to that size after the baby is born!

    lol! I KNOW my DH doesn't think before he speaks. He is constantly saying the wrong thing and then gets upset/angry when I take them the wrong way. I know he would never ever tell me I look bad or anything like that, but the other night he went to a concert and I stayed home. He said there were a few pregnant women there in bikinis and they looked gross and trashy,

    I was like umm.... I got a bikini to wear this year.....

    he of course meant only that they looked trashy, but he said it like it was because of the swim suits. lol

    I agree lol. It just doesn't bother me because I am PREGNANT haha.  I'm proud to carry this big belly of love!

    ITA, warning tmi ahead. Earlier i was using the bathroom and DH walked in and said "Well, i was going to take a shower, but you're blocking it" so of course i responded with "Oh, so now im so big, that im blocking the ENTIRE shower???" lol, i knew what he meant, but it came out wrong!

    On a daily basis as I'm struggling to get off the couch DH asks if I feel pregnant yet.... um, yes i do, thanks.  He then reminds me that this is what I wanted... And yes I do realize this is what I wanted and I wasn't complaining, however it is a little dificult to get out of bed or off the couch... i'm not grunting to complain, it actually seems to help me get up.  lol.
