How is nursing going? I remember you were going to phase it in slowly.

    It's not.  He is a mess every time I try.  I've honestly stopped trying.   He screams his head off every time I get him close to my boob.  I've tried all the tricks.  He even freaks out about the shield now.  It is a little sad.  I try not to really think about it. 

    I may try a few more times, but really, I don't have a great deal of hope at this point.  I don't know if I have the stamina to keep trying when he is so unhappy when I try.  He is so happy with his bottles too, so I don't want to make him upset when he is such a happy baby as long as he gets his fast bottle.

    I'm sorry. We get stripped of so much having preemies and now this. JS was the same way as you described Gabe. But as he got bigger and stronger, he took to the breast very well (without the shield). Now his reflux is too bad for us to nurse :(. If it's something you really want don't give up, it will come.
