Back pain after IUD inserted

I had my Paraguard inserted on Tuesday and didn't have any pain during insertion or much that day. Last night I started having bad menstrual like cramping and today my back is extremely sore with the cramping. The cramping has been dull but at times extremely sharp pains. I expected the cramps but my back is what is making me crazy... Especially having to carry a LO around. I did have issues during insertion so I have an u/s scheduled for the 26th anyway. Anyone else having the back pain? Any other issues?

    I had mine put in on Wednesday, no back  pain or cramps for that matter.  Are you BFing?  Could it be time for AF? My doctor said cramping and bleeding would be normal, general pain might indicate an issue.

    If you have a concern call your OB and ask, but my guess it that you should take it easy carrying LO around for a bit and see if it helps your back. Use a heating pad and some ibuprofen and try to rest.
