Some really awesome stuff has happened over the last few days:
1. Ari was tested again for food allergies (atopic patch testing like the last 2 times). We're making progress! He had negatives for apple, white potato, chicken, carrots, & milk. We still need to food challenge each of these (except milk, we've already found he can tolerate limited amounts of some dairy, like cheese), but negatives are great news!
2. I'm officially a minivan mom. DH is working @ Carmax & we were able to get a sweet deal on an 06 Toyota Sienna with his employee discount. It only has 40k miles & is super clean. Definitely not as fun to drive as my 03 BMW, but it actually has room for kids & our dog & won't break down every month like the Bimmer.
3. DH is able to go full time at Carmax starting Aug. 1st & will be going into mgmt training in the next few months. Which means...
4. I am officially a SAHM!!!! I've been on medical leave from work for the last several months & will be through mid-August, but my leave runs out then & I notified them I'm not returning.
Woot!
Re: Full of Good News!!
I can honestly say I can't wait to own a mini-van, haha, I tried a Ford Explorer - but it wasn't as spacious as I thought it'd be and was mechanically very problematic.
It's nice to see happy news posted on here.Especially when times are hard. Congrats to all those things!

GREAT GREAT NEWS!!!!!! congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we don't have a minivan (we have a Mazda5 - half car, half minivan) and i adore it. the extra space is amazing and sliding doors are my favorite things EVER (at least with kids). ENJOY!
being a SAHM is so challenging and yet so so rewarding. have FUN!
We were actually set on the Mazda5 (I was a Mazda owner for 12 yrs prior to the POS BMW), but when we decided to TTC this fall we were worried it might be too small for 3 kids + double stroller + huge dog. Then this Sienna popped up & we got it for cost. I've been eyeing Mazda5's enviously still though - I love the fact that it's small but still has a lot of room & a usable 3rd seat.
yeah it's a great car, but definitely not for 3 kids... the two backseat chairs being captain's chairs would mean if they both had carseats, getting to the third row could be tough. do-able, but not easy probably... we're not in the market for another kid for a while tho so it works for us. surprisingly there are really no comparable cars so if that one doesnt work, you basically have to go up to minivan. (not to dis a minivan, boy those are roomy and nice!!)
Congratulation on all!!!!!! It is great that Ari is starting to come out of some of his allergies. Does this mean that EE is probably not the culprit? Regardless, it is fantastic news!
I am most excited about your SAHM news! I have wondered when you were going back to work and hoping it was far, far away. You seem so much happier now. I am thrilled for you and your whole family!
EE kids can outgrow some allergies, so it could still be that. We may never know, honestly. If he still has a ton of allergies next year I may push for testing.
I actually went back to work for a week PT. I was really starting to make progress with the PPD/PPA thing, & my doc wanted to do a trial run since I was coming up on the end of my STD benefits. That way if I couldn't do it, we had a little cushion. I thought about trying to just stay there PT for a few months while DH is getting into the mgmt training program, but things had gotten way, way worse @ my work while I was gone, not better, & my anxiety was so bad within that 1st week that my doc pulled me back out. My boss prob wouldn't have let me do PT anyway, she's been a total a$$hole about this whole thing.
Needless to say I was back to normal within about 2 days of leaving work again. That job has always sucked & was ridiculously high stress - now that I've been gone I can't believe I put up with it for 3 1/2 years. I absolutely love being home with Ari though, I'm so much happier & so is the whole family!
