1st Trimester

6 Weeks and So Many Symptoms

I'm most likely at 6 - 7 weeks but could be 11 weeks depending on whether my last period was actually implantation bleeding (the bc I was on was making my period schedule a little wacky so it's hard to say). I will know for sure when I have my sonogram on Monday.

If I AM 6 -7 weeks I am wondering whether the amount of symptoms I have is normal. At what would have been 2 weeks I started having constant nausea, headaches, backaches, and light/ sound sensitivity. Not long after that I felt like fiery sledgehammers were sitting on my breasts.  For about a month I have also been cramping, have endured terrible back and neck pain, and have seen my breasts grow a cup size. And I could swear I'm showing. Not enough for other people to notice, but enough for me to see a difference in my stomach right below my navel. Maybe it's just bloating?

For the past few days my symptoms have actually started to lessen, when previously they were just awful. I've heard that this typically happens after the 1st trimester.

So what do you think? Does 11 weeks sound more likely?

  • My boobs were sore right away, but the soreness has gotten progressively worse. My queasiness started around 5.5-6 weeks . . . i would check with your doctor . . . i know that my doctor mentioned that at my next checkup (I'll be 10w3d) that she will find the heartbeat with the dopplar. You can see if your doc can do that if you don't want to go in for a u/s.

  • Your Dr. can measure the fetus and let you know how far along you are.
  • I went to the doctor because I was throwing up everyday (for no reason like a virus or food poisoning). He did a preg. test and told me I was pregnant. He was thinking at that time that I was at least 6 weeks pregnant...boy was he wrong. I had a scheduled ultrasound a few weeks later and it turns out that when he gave me the pregnancy test I was only 2 weeks pregnant. My periods have always been irregular so there was no good indiciator there for me either. Either way, you could be 6-7 or you could be 11 but symptoms are different for every woman.
