Have your baby's eyes changed color yet?

I know it can take up to six months (or longer) for a baby's eye color to change. Gabriella's eyes are still blue and I'm wondering if they are going to stay blue. Our pediatrician said she thought they might. DH has brown eyes and I have blue so it could go either way.

Have your baby's eyes changed color yet?

ETA: DH's dad has blue eyes, so DD could have either blue or brown eyes, 50/50 chance.

  • Eliza's has gotten lighter. They were a darker blue when she was born and now they are lightening up. I'm so flippin' excited she may have blue eyes! DH has blue eyes but mine are brown. His eyes are GORGEOUS so I hope she has the same color.

  • Will's were really blue when he was born, but they are starting to darken.  DH's eyes are blue and mine are brown.  I was hoping he would get DH's eyes, they are gorgeous, but it is starting to look like he may get momma's eyes!

  • My LO was born with dark blue eyes... they have gotten to be a bit lighter now. They are almost grey.

  • Blue here. My DS' are blue and stayed that way. I don't anticipate hers to change, and if they did, I think they'd go more green than anything.

Amongst my friends, if they have brown eyed kids, the brown was pretty prominent early on.  They weren't blue for long!

  • They've gotten lighter, but they were so dark they almost looked black at first? DH has green/greyish blue (they change) and I have hazel. I love DH, but hope she get my eyes (she looks like him and I don't see any of myself in her yet)

Did I write this post? Stick out tongue  My son's name is also Will (short for Willem), DH has blue eyes and I have brown, but the only difference is I think Will is going to get daddy's eyes :)

  • DD's eyes are still blue, but they're the steel blue and haven't lightened up yet which makes me think they're going to change.

I have brown and both my parents have green.

DH has green, and his parents have green and blue. and all 3 of his sisters have blue.

Honestly DD could end up with any of the three and it won't be surprising at all.

  • Em has blue and according to genetics will only have blue. DH and I both have blue eyes. Only difference are that his are a little lighter. So far she has my dark blue eyes. I hope she has mine.

DD's eyes are still newborn blue, my eyes didn't change till after my first birthday( I am hazel now) so I won't get hopes up till she's two!!

    DH is blue, I'm hazel.

  • Right now my DS's eyes are grey but I'm pretty sure they will change. My DD had grey eyes until she was about 2 then they switched to hazel which my DH has. My eyes are grey and I think it would be cool if my DS had my eyes and my DD has my DH's but seeing as how they both look like carbon copies of him, I'm almost positive his eyes will change.
  • I have light brown eyes, and DH has blue, and my entire family other than me and my mother has blue eyes, so I could very easily have a blue eyed child...

Emma's are still quite blue, and if anything a little lighter, so I am really hoping she keeps them!

  • DD was born with grey eyes. At times I have seen green in her eyes and today they looked very, very green. DH and I both have brown eyes, but you can see green in our eyes(they are not quite hazel.) MIL has green eyes.

I don't know if I can trust that her eyes will stay green. I was thinking they may change agian... I just don't wanna get my hopes up.

  • Still a dark royal blue color. DH has blue eyes, so does his father. So does DD#1. I think DD#2's eyes are going to be a darker shade of blue, guess we'll wait and see!

  • They're still a steel blue, but I'm pretty sure she'll have green eyes.  I'm green and DH is a green/blue.
  • My family and I all have very blue eyes. My SO has light brown, and his father has green.

My LO's eyes are a weird gray/brown color with greenish specks in them. I have no clue what color they will end up being. They change a lot.

  • K has no change yet, but A's eyes didn't change for a few months.  A now has green/hazel eyes.  DH and I are both different shades of green, I'm kind of a cedar green, and he's a yellow green.  The only blue in my family is my Grandad, and then my half brother (my mum carries the blue gene).  There is no blue in DH's family.

I'm guessing K will be some shade of green.

  • No, her eyes are still a dark blue. DH and both his parents have brown eyes and me and my parents all have blue eyes. Its most likely hers will turn brown, but we'll just have to wait and see. I really hope they stay blue.

  • DD's eyes started a dark slate blue and have lightened quite a bit to a fairly bright blue.  DH and I both have (mostly) blue eyes, so hers will definitely stay in the blue range.
