question about storing

Sorry if this is a stupid question or one that has been asked already, but I was wondering if when I pump after each feeding to build supply can I add to the same supply all day then freeze it at the end of the day? Or do I need to keep each sessions pumping seperate. Like I said, sorry if this is a stupid question.

you can merge them, but it's best if they are at the same temperature. So if you pump and 8am, put it in the fridge. Then put your noon pump in the fridge. Once the noon is as cold as the 8am, then merge them together to freeze.

If it ends up being a mix of days (today and tomorrow's pump), then just put the earliest day's date on the bag (today's).

You can't add room temp milk to cold but you can combine sessions. Just make sure to chill newly expressed milk before adding to what you already have in the fridge.
