Just found out? (TMI) ? advice welcome!

I DID get hemorrhoids :'(

I had itching but thought it was sweat from the hot weather? well it busted out yesterday and it KILLS!

I have the cream still that the hospitals gives everyone, and started using it, it shrunk a bit but still kills, any advice? How long did it last if you had them?

    I had them with DD#1 til she was about three months old... then they vanished.
    I used witchhazel pads when they bothered me and sat in warm baths.
    Luckily and suprisingly enough with DD#2 no hemroids.

    I had them so bad after birth, it was awful but the witch hazel pads with a line of preporation h cream on in them helped so much.

    This sounds weird, but I'll swear by it:

    If your showerhead is detachable, direct it at the afflicted area and stay there for 10-15 minutes (with the water as hot as you can stand). It will feel awesome and made mine go away within 2 days during pregnancy. (I did it 2-3x a day) 

    If not, get in a warm/hot bath and use your fingers to massage the area. Massage is key. I don't know this for sure, but I guess it has something to do with helping the blood move out of the area. 

    With the hemorrhoids after birth, nothing made them go away until about 7 weeks pp, but the shower thing really helped alleviate the symptoms.
