Bath wash or detergent?

LO has a contact rash (per pedi) that comes and goes but is never completely gone. It's been about three weeks now. It's not bad and it doesn't bother her. It's only on her stomach so I'm thinking I should change her bath wash (Johnsons bedtime bath) or her detergent (Tide free and sensitive). Any thoughts or recommendations?

Re: Bath wash or detergent?

  • Could be either, but change them 1 at a time so you know which one it is.

I had to go through 3 bath soaps with Landon before I found one that didn't break him out. Go figure- the expensive ones were the problem. I use Johnson's Night time soap.

FWIW, everyone in my family is allergic to Tide. We use All Free and Clear.

  • We can't use Tide in my house, it breaks us all out. I would start there and if nothing changes then switch the bath soap.

  • Ditto the pp's. I have incredibly sensitive skin and can't use Tide. We use Purex Free and Clear for all the clothes in our house.
