Surprise party

I am throwing my husband a surprise 30th bday party. It starts at 7 pm, and I am having trouble thinking of a way to get him out of the house so he can come home and be surprised. I am providing dinner at the party, so we can't go out to dinner and come home to the party. I am trying to find something where he can go alone, and I can be at our house getting everything ready. I thought about sending him to golf, but I know he'll be sweaty and gross when he comes home.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

    Send him to one of the Man spa places?  The Better Man Salon in Montgomery or YG's Men's Salon.  I sent DH a few years ago as a surprise.  He would never have chosen to go, but he actually did enjoy it.

     How long do you need him to be gone?  Can a friend call and ask for a big favor?  Or can you ask him to pick something up on his way home from work, something out of the way.

    Is he close with his dad/your dad. Could they ask him to come over and fix something or move furniture? That could distract him for a little bit? Could you pretend to not feel good and ask if he'll take DS to the zoo/park/somewhere?

     Good Luck. I threw DH a surprise 30th back in October and it was lots of fun.

    We just attended a surprised 30th birthday party for one of our best friends.  The wife had her husband's family take him out for the day (party was for the hubby), then had a friend call and say his car broke down near the party location and he needed his help.  So the husband came to the location and was totally surprised :)  Anyway, the wife utilized the husband's family to distract him for the day.  They took him to a museum and Yagoot :)
