I pumped for 2 months with DD and can't stand the thought of cow's milk anymore. I feel so ridiculous but I just keep thinking of those poor cows being milked! Lol. Anyone else?

    That's funny. I worked on a farm and milked cows by hand and then we got high tech and got a machine. Just think about how the cows need to have the pressure released so they don't get mastitis. Then you are doing the cow a favour. I could live with out drinking milk but I can not live with out butter, cream, ice cream and yogurt.

    haha, I know what you mean. I'm (sort of) lactose intolerant so I don't drink milk, but I do eat some dairy products.

    I can't help but think of cows when I am pumping, too...

    Haha. Not me! I pump daily and still drink at least a glass of milk a day. I love it. I may have even drank milk while pumping, lol. I never really thought about feeling bad for the cows...I can certainly say from experience that the relief from engorgement is joyous, so I'll continue to think of it as doing the cows a solid. :)

     I EP and occasionally HATE it ((love the fact that I can do it for my baby as I'm back to work FT)). Apparently scientists are working on having cow's monopolize pumping altogether...
