How many outfits per day?

Just for curiosity, how many outfits does your LO wear in a day?

Everyone told me we would go through a ton, but except for one blowout once, she can easily be in the same outfit all day, then pjs at night :) I think I'm going to have to pack up half her clothes without her ever wearing them!

Re: How many outfits per day?

  • Depends on the day. Sometimes just one all day. She hasn't had a lot of poop blowouts, but we have had a lot of mid-diaper-change pees that ended up soaking the changing pad and her outfit so we've had to change. Also if we go out and run errands I usually change her outfit when we get home because she gets so sweaty in the moby and carseat.

I think we'd probably change her more if she spit up a lot, but that's really rare for her.

  • One a day. We've never had any poop accidents. There's been two or three times she's peed while changing her diaper and it gets on her clothes but that's the only time she wore more than one outfit a day.

  • Wow, we go through 4-5 a day...mostly due to constant spit up and I can't let her sit there with wet clothes on. We've had 2 diaper blowouts.

  • Normally one at night and one during the day. Sometimes pee gets on her outfit, or she spits up a lot, or I spill something I was eating on her, but that doesn't happen too often. Only when I've put her in something extra cute ;)
  • if we stay home she just switches from one onesie to another.

If we go out it's one outfit and then a onesie when we get home.

We don't do sleepers anymore because she got too hot in them.

This is all if there are no big spitups, throwups or blowouts though. Yesterday we had a throw up and the day before there was a sposie blow out so add an extra onesie to the mix.

  • Also one a day. We've had 2 poop-explosions that needed immediate changes.

  • No fewer than 3. We have quite a spitter on our hands. I have to change at least once a day, too, because I just can't stand the smell of it on me.

  • We usually only use one outfit per day and then PJs and a Swaddle Me for bedtime. I've only had issues with leaky diapers when she was outgrowing the NB size diapers. Now that I moved up to the size ones, we haven't had any more trouble.

  • Depends on the day...

If we are around the house he stays in a sleeper. We keep our house rather cool so a onesie is not enough.

If we go out of the house he will wear something a little lighter since he gets warm in his carseat.

For bed time he sleeps in a log-sleeved onsie and a Halo Swaddle-sack.

He wears a bib as he spits up a fair amount. I am in love with the Tommee Tippee milk bibs as it keeps the milk and spit up from getting in his neck/fat rolls....

If he doesnt have a bib on we could easily go through 3-4 outfits a day. I just change his bib throughout the day...Much easier change...

  • We've only had a couple of blowouts but usually DD only wears one outfit a day.

  • Nicholas usually just wears one outfit/onesie per day, and he sleeps in it at night with a swaddle.  We don't have many blowouts/spit ups.

  • I change her 4-5 times a day.....I guess I'm just weird like that...

I change her in the morning, then again when she will get sweaty during the day, and usually again after bathtime she will get one more outfit before her pjs. If there is spit up or diaper explosion, I change her once more...

I know she can go in the same outfit all day but I like to change her before feedings because I think she eats better and is "fresher"

Usually two a day.  We don't have a ton of blow outs, but she loves to pee/poop as soon as her diaper comes off and it goes everywhere.  We haven't quite mastered perfecting the timing yet, but we are improving to it only happening once a day (usually) while making it through the other changes unscathed.

  • On average 2 including her pj's. She sometimes has blowouts which ups her outfit count to 3. She has so much clothes...I can barely get through the new stuff let alone all the hand me down stuff she's gotten.

  • It's been so hot that sometimes I just leave him in a diaper for a good part of the day. Usually though 1-2 outfits a day! He doesn't really have any blowouts or leaky diapers and the change is due to spit up!
  • S spends most of his days either in a plain onesie or just a diaper and a blanket. If we go out, I will usually put him in something "cute," but that is the only reason I have had to change him so far...no blow-outs or spit-ups so far!

  • If we don't have anything to do I just put her in a onesie.  I usually dress her before we go out.  We don't have too many "outfits" because we weren't sure how big she would be.  She's tiny and still fitting in newborn clothes.  I didn't want to buy too much newborn clothes because she won't wear them much longer.  I try and keep a bib on her if I think she'll spit up and that saves her a lot. Also she tends to spit up on me rather than herself, guess she doesn't like to be dirty.  Usually only one or two per day.
