Lemon Lime Glucose Drink

I just finished drinking it and already want to throw up. It really doesn't taste that bad, it just doesn't feel so good going down or in the tummy. It took me 7 minutes to drink it rather than 5. I really hope that doesn't mess up my testing!

My doctor gave it to me at my last appt. so I'm still at home. Really not looking forward to having to drive to the hospital while I feel this nauseous.

    I was expecting the orange and they gave me the lemon lime this morning.  Taste was not as bad as I expected but I can't say I am a fan of it either.  Too bad you still have to make the drive to the hospital, the nausea part is not fun.  I have a bit of a lingering headache now, and don't think I will be able to touch a Sprite for a long long time.

    i am praying my lab has the orange.  with DD i had the fruit punch flavor and i felt so sick--i had a bad experience with the fruit punch that came in the blue can when i was younger.  Ick!

    I drank mine at the lab and the tech told me I could drink water during my hour wait.  Maybe some ice water will help you feel better.

    I got my glucose drink at my last appt. too and it's sitting here at my house. I got lemon lime but I'm hoping to be able to trade it for orange at the lab.

    I think either flavor you get, you are not going to feel good afterward. I had the lemon lime as well and it just tasted like a sprite that needed carbonation and a bit of watering down.

    It wasn't the drink that ended up making me sick, it was the crash afterward!  Good thing DH went with me to this appointment.  He said afterward the crash was like someone coming off a drug.  I was walking weird and my eyes were glazed over.  EXTREME sugar crash!  I have no desire for anything sweet!!!!!!!!!!!

    I had my glucose test this morning, and the lady gave me orange.  Made me slightly nauseous, just like last time.  So glad it's over!

    I had the orange on Wednesday.  They are all gross.  Your head feels like you are floating for the hour- REALLY hoping I dont have to do the 3 hour, I can't imagine.
