how much did your IUD cost

So my insurance will cover 50% of the device cost if my doctor orders it.  I know they can run in the $700-800 range depending on negotiated cost, etc...

On another note, and I can't believe I'm even remotely considering this: has anyone ordered one through an online pharmacy?  FYI, not an original idea of mine, something my doctor actually mentioned.  LOL

    My insurance covered most of mine, so I don't remember, but the online pharmacy idea might be a good one if it saves you $!  My GYN ordered mine for me through CVS.

    I had to pay 30% of the cost, plus the doctor's visit/insertion, and I paid $220 out of pocket.

    I had to pay a "medical equipment" copay of $40, plust the $20 office visit copay.

    Based on my doctor's recommendation and all the reviews I read online, I went with Mirena. I originally wanted a copper one (no hormones) but everything I read said it can increase your period (heavier flow, longer duration). Even when I finally got my period back after BF, it's still really light and short on Mirena.

    Well, I ended up buying it online (after making sure it was legit and accredited by the appropriate associations). There really isn't much you can't buy online is there? Now, if only Trader Joe's offered online ordering & delivery...
