Not going to escape m/s this time

Darn...my luck has run out.  Although I didn't have m/s with my girls, I've started to feel horrible the last few days.  I have a feeling the constant upset stomach and watery mouth like I'm going to throw-up is going to only get worse.

My family has latched onto this idea.  Although I put no stock into it, my family insist that I must be carrying a boy because both my mom and sister only got m/s when they were pg with boys.  They are actually excited I have m/s in their weird twisted way.

Re: Not going to escape m/s this time

  • I am so sorry racey, m/s is the worst! I had really bad "all day" sickness with both Ash and P, but it was worse and lasted longer with P, so maybe there is some truth to the boy thing? Good luck :-)

  • I'm going against the old wives tales! I didn't have any m/s other than an occassional bout of nausea with both boys. I had always heard that it was the girls that made you so sick not the sweet little boys!

This is what I tried to explain to my mom and thus, not to get caught up on her idea that it's different for our family. I told her we have a 50:50 chance Stick out tongue

  • yuck! sorry! I didn't have it with DS#1 but had it with DS#2 so I no longer put stock into the differences of the baby with the m/s because two completely opposite pregnancies for me but both are boys! Smile haha I like how you told your family it was 50:50 Hope you feel better soon!!
  • Boo, that sucks :(  I hope you feel  better soon though!

  • I am sorry that you are feeling sick...none of the tricks I tried to feel better actually worked. I was sick until week 18 with Jocelyn. My pregnancy was opposite with #2 (boy), no m/s pretty much at all!

  • Sorry Racey, the constant nausea is what I had with Liam, and it sucked! :(  The preggo pop things (or plain hard candy) did help a lot, and also just snacking on crackers or something.  An empty stomach makes it worse.

FWIW, my MIL had completely different pregnancies for each of her 3 kids, and she has 3 boys! :)

  • That stinks that you're not feeling well already!  I didn't have m/s with both of my kids and I have one of each!
