I'm in my third trimester and asking very very late in the game (as well as new to the Bump- hi all!) but is there something I should be eating right now to ensure a good pregnancy/delivery? I found some tips from a physician
here that told me about eating a plant based diet...this seems logical but do you think this is the whole story? What have you guys made sure is in your diet or rather, what do you stay away from- caffeine, fish right?
Re: 1st pregnancy- what to eat?
Your baby needs 75 grams of protein daily. It's super important for brain (and general) development.
I've stayed away from caffeine, artificial sugar, undercooked foods, fish (you can have small amounts of certain fish, but I'm not a fish eater anyways), nitrites (preservatives).
Basically, if you eat sensibly and make sure to include foods from ALL the food groups, you'll be fine. Include lots of veggies and fruits, too.
