I feel like I have to put a disclaimer on my posts

Every time I post something, or reply to something I feel like I should put some kind of disclaimer saying something like " I am not an expert, this is just my thoughts, based on my own research, our allergist suggestions, etc... lol.  Anybody else feel that way?

    I know what you mean!  I don't know what other people know or have been told by experts, etc.  Hard when you are dealing with health issues.

    haha yup!  that's why i try to put "my unprofessional opinion" many times..

    I figured if anyone is going to the web for advice they should know that it's non-doctors giving their own unprofessional advice.  Hopefully everyone is smart enough to know that they should seek professional advice as well.  That's why most of us say "go see a doc" - but that's also hard b/c there are many doctors that think allergies don't exist..  so that's why we also say "change your doc"

    maybe the bump should put a disclaimer on top.. 

    either way, non of the info we provide is harmful..  the furthest we go is telling people to do an elimination diet.. and that should not harm anyone. 

    this is all my UNPROFESSIONAL opinion :)

    I only expect opinions from any one here.  If it was serious enough I would call the Dr.  I just like to maybe get an opinion and go from there with what I already have.  Some times I ramble in post like I am now so I better just leave. lol

    There should probably be that kind of disclaimer at the top of this board.  Hopefully people realize that many of us are speaking from our own experience. 

    I know I've seen a badge that says something like "I'm not a doctor, I just like to play one on the internet."  Stick out tongue
