We've been on vacation for a week at the beach with DH's family. It was fun, relaxing, quiet, and everyone made sure I was well taken care of (getting spoiled like that was wonderful!). Wednesday night I started spotting and having cramps, Yesterday it got better but I called my Doctor because of course I was terrified. Long story short they couldnt get me in yesterday or today (which is freaking bull in my opinion, pretty pissed) so they told me to go to this specific women and babies hospital. We were two hours away and I told them we were packing up and heading out. We got to the hospital and 4 HOURS LATER I was finally seen. There were pregnant women everywhere and it was a little scary, to think all those women in that room had something that made them fear for their child. I was basically in tears, was nauseous and terrified too.
Anyway, our baby is great, I'm great and that's all that matters. They said the heartbeat was 166 bpm and that spotting occurs in 30% of pregnant women in their 1st trimester. The cramps could be from things moving expanding doing gosh knows what in there. He said if and when you see clots of blood and have horrible horrible cramps is when you should be worried.
If you made it this far you deserve a big hug and some cookies, or whatever you can keep down these days. I'm soooooo relieved, I was really thinking the worst. Baby's ok!!!!!!
