im ruining my life

because i am going to sacrifice a night of sleep tomorrow to go see harry potter. Embarrassed i know i should just sleep and then go at night....but i can't. it doesn't help that i've been up today since about 4:30am and had to work and whatnot. he's finally sleeping but i'm pumping and keeping myself busy by bumping.
im going to see the movie at midnight tomorrow and then have to be at work at 8. i know im digging a grave for myself, but tell me are any of you doing this too so i don't feel like such a big fat loser?

oh and my LO hasn't pooped at all in 24hrs but hes a farting machine. he usually poops 2-4 times a day so this is extremely weird for us. if he doesn't poop by mid day tomorrow i think i'm gonna call the pedi. suggestions?

    I'm going to see it at midnight as well. I'm not back to work yet but I have apts in the morning on Friday and a lunch get together with LO. My DH is trying to draft me to play softball with him at 7:30pm tomorrow night before he takes the baby home so I can go out.

    I have seen every single movie at midnight and I usually get home around 3:30am and then have to be up at 5:45am to be at work by 8 though. It isn't awful for one day. Also, assuming you are off on weekends, at least there is no work on Saturday. As for having a LO, for us my DH has the early feeding and I have the 5am feeding which I think will be my undoing if he decides to party instead of going back to sleep but I wouldn't miss this for the world.

    As for the pooping question - our LO only poops once every 2 days or so; I'm not really any help there. I would think that if he is like clockwork and something has been off for a couple of days that a call to the pedi can't hurt.

    As for the pooping question, DD just went three days without pooping. the do told me that a breastfed baby may go 5 days at her age ( 7 weeks). it was a miserable 3 days because she was farting up a storm and obviously uncomfortable. But on day 4 she dropped a load like you would not believe...lol... if that makes you feel better!

    update: EXPLOSION this morning. thank god. haha

    i unfortunately do not have weekends off. in fact i usually just work a few days during the week and before i had my LO i hadn't had a weekend off in like 3 years with the occassional night where i had something going on.

    oh well, its for the love of Harry Potter.

    I seriously considered the midnight showing but I didn't think DD or Grandma were quite ready for an overnight visit just yet.  My mom is going to watch her Friday afternoon while we go to lunch and the movie.  She was trying to convince me to stay out longer so that her grandpa could hang out with her after work, but even with cutting way down on nursing/pumping, my boobs would explode after that long.  I love Harry Potter, but not THAT much!  lol

    I've been watching all the previous movies all week.  I'm sooo excited!

    well i'm going with my friend since his daddy doesn't care about HP at all. so no sitter needed here. i slept with the baby for like 3 hours today to prep myself for the lack of sleep later tonight haha.
