Illinois Babies

Hi! New mom to be in the city!

Hi ladies! I took my first test on my husband's 29th birthday and saw the one lone word, pregnant. That was Thursday night and it's been a crazy couple days. We were not trying so it was completely unexpected but we are both so excited now and starting to get nervous about all things we will have to find out, i.e. Daycare, living in a one bedroom, finances, insurance copayments, not being at the weight I want etc. I'm the first of my friends in the city having a child, so I have no one to ask about these things! Eeks! My EDD is March 6. I'm not really having many symptoms except sleepiness and maybe bloating. I've been reading the forums all day today and holy cow does morning sickness sound awful. So not looking forward to that! I can't wait till the holiday is over so I can call the doctors office and see when I can come in! Just wanted to say hi and hopefully meet some of you lovely ladies in the future to share ideas, recommendations and suggestions.
About to be 2 under 2 up in here!

  • Congrats! Maybe you will be lucky and not have morning sickness. I never did. Good luck!

  • So exciting!  fwiw, we lived in a one bedroom until this past January (DD was 17 months) - it may be tight, but you'll find a way to make it work.  Congrats to you and your DH!

  • we are in a 1 bedroom and planning on staying until DD is at least 9 months (actually considering staying for another year beyond that because we love our place so much).  We just had to get a little creative with furniture placement (crib, dresser/changing table, etc.), and also being really selective about baby gear.

Feel free to ask me any space questions lol
