Baby Bump Question (Probably Dumb!)

Is the upper part of your bump running into your boobs?  I have always been very small and I feel like my whole rib cage has really expanded as of late.  For instance I need a new bra size not for the cup size but for the diameter(?) size.  When I am sitting on the floor (which I do often in my daycare job) it seems like my bump is right there by my boobs.  Is this normal or am I gaining weight in the wrong places?

    My upper belly is bigger and closer to my boobs too.  My lower belly is not as pronounced. 
    TTC since June/09.
    1st cycle diagnosed with slight hypothyroidism. Clomid, dexamethasone, HCG trigger shot. BFN
    2nd cycle, Clomid, dexamethasone, HCG trigger shot. BFN
    3rd cycle, Clomid, dexamethasone, ovulated with out tigger. BFN
    4th cycle, Clomid, dexamethasone, HCG trigger shot. BFP!!!
    EDD 12/31/2011 ----- actual birthday 01/05/2012

    When I'm standing, there's still space between my bump and my boobs.  When I sit and the belly is more scrunched up, they basically touch

    Okay, just making sure I wasn't the only one!  It gets very uncomfortable sometimes!  Especially when a child wants to sit in your lap with you!

    The upper belly at our stage is mostly due to internal organs shifting. Our intestines are moved as the uterus expands, putting pressure on everything else.  As you can see from the image here: https://www.gynob.com/images/fh.jpg our uterus is somewhere below to just a tad above our belly button right now.

    A lot depends on how your uterus is shaped and decides to expand.

    O yes.  My ribcage expanded and I needed a larger bra (cup and diameter).  I have a shorter trunk so my intestines were shoved up high early.  I believe it's the hormone relaxin that allows your rib cage to adjust so your diaphragm can adjust.

    They sell expanders that hook into the back of your bra to make the band bigger, so you don't have to splurge on new bras just yet. I'm 5' 10" with a long torso, so it takes a while for my boobs and bump to touch because baby has lots of room, lol.

    I was wondering where you get these expanders for the bras?!  I really need one right now as i'm trying to wait to buy new bras for when I actually outgrow the ones I have.
