There must be something in the air, because we too are about to face a bunch of changes! I'd really appreciate some magic "work out the way it needs to" dust from you ladies.. it feels like things are all sorts of helter skelter over here, and you all always seem to help!
- A week ago, DH got fired. I won't say too much more about it, because he's taking legal action over it.
- Because of this, he is ready to move. Right now we're about 80% sure we're moving back to Austin, since my job is still there. We've kicked around going to Seattle, Northern Cali or VA, but he knows I'd be happier back in ATX and is willing to go back.
The flip side of us going back is, there isn't a big market for his profession in Austin. That being said, he does have a startup company he's been working on the side that he could put more effort into, which could turn into something way bigger. Its kind of a game of chance. But.. my job would get 200% more stable and enjoyable again.
He'd also love to dabble in the nonprofit sector, and the market for that kind of work is growing. He's reassuring me that he'd be good with it, because even though the market isn't there, we're pretty resourceful with networking and whatnot.
*sigh* At any rate, he's really sure we're not staying here - and within that week, we've had our realtor over, found a house we'd want in Austin, and are currently debating which furniture to keep or sell to make the move easier.
I'm kind of disappointed because I've finally started to make friends and really love the weather and our house here - and we thought we'd be here until 2015. We'll probably have to put TTC on hold until the dust settles. Not sure on that one, but it would be the smart thing to do.
Re: Humble request - I need some dust.
it'll all work itself out the way it's supposed to dust.
Sorry it's all messy right now. <<hugs>>
Hehe.. I'm somewhat selfishly excited too! I've been dreaming of Torchy's and Homeslice lately.
Thanks for the help, ladies. I really do appreciate it.
Goodness, what a crazy time! Good luck on all the changes.

also- dh's company primarily services the non profit sector. not sure what your husband does, but if there is a way for them to network together, that would be great. feel free to email me if you want more info- mollie@ bloomaustin.com
