What do you do when YOU get sick?

My allergies are acting up today.  At first I thought it was a cold and I was stressing that I was going to give it to Gabe.

What do you do if you are sick and contagious?  It isn't like I can avoid him...

Born at 31w3d due to severe IUGR & Placental Insufficiency--2lbs 3ounces

    I went through the same thing when Blake came home. Turned out to be nothing but other bumpies suggested wearing a mask and lots and lots of hand washing.
    TTC #1 since 4/2007... MFI (low motility/low Testosterone) & PCOS IVF #1 August 2010...BFP 1st sono shows TWINS!!!! Due May 23rd 2011 Ruptured @ 21 weeks (Jan 13) Delivered 26 weekers (Blake and Addison) on Valentine's Day... Keeping faith and praying, God has a plan and we just have to learn to follow.     So true! 

    If you really feel bad maybe see if someone can come help you out, so that you can get better faster and so that your contact can be more limited to help it not spread.

    *runs to E*Trade and buys stock in hand sanitizer companies* I swear every gift we get has a bottle of hand sanitizer in it.  I <3 it!

    Are the masks available in a store pharmacy or online someplace? I'm assuming just a basic surgical mask.

    You can get the masks at any pharmacy. We got some at CVS when my inlaws were sick and visitng while C was still in the NICU. The obviously didn't come to the hospital.

    I actually have my first cold (DH and DS have colds too).  There's no way I can avoid her, or make a 3 year old wear a mask,  so I just make sure I wash my hands a lot, and keep DS away from her (not easy).

    I also give her freshly pumped breastmilk at each feeding to ensure she gets the antibodies from it.  Normally I keep a couple days' worth of fresh milk in the fridge and give her the oldest to keep the supply rotating,
