Does anybody just have a feeling...

Does anybody just have a feeling that they know what the sex of their baby is? I really think we are having a boy not because DH and I want a boy... DH does but I don't care. I have told him from the beginning that I think it's a boy. My mom new what she was having before she had me and that was back in the good ol'days when everyone was a suprise. I just wondered if anybody else had the same feelings.

Re: Does anybody just have a feeling...

  • With DD#1 for weeks before going in for the ultrasound I was convinced it was a boy. Nope, it was a girl!

This time, I am convinced it's another girl but we'll see. We don't care either way.

  • I don't have a feeling per say, but I can't picture myself having a daughter. So, I'm just going to assume this baby is a boy until proven otherwise.

  • with DS1, i "just knew" it was a boy.  this time, no overwhelming feelings.  last time, i was so certain!  and wound up being right.  but i had a 50/50 shot...

  • My HUSBAND is convinced we're having a girl! Lol. We don't care either way, as long as the little one is healthy, but girl is definitely what he's betting on. I do find myself thinking it's a girl now and again, but I'm only 8 weeks along and it's too soon for many of those old wives tales to predict. ;)

  • With DS I thought it was a boy and it was.  I am thinking girl, but I think it's just cause I'd love to have one of each.  fwiw- I'd be thrilled just to have a HEALTHY baby!

  • I have a feeling I'm having a girl, but when I was having my first I was convinced it was a boy, called the baby "he" the whole time I was pregnant, whent the baby was born the doc said to me "what have you got" and i looked and said "oh my god it's a girl, what are we going to call her?"

I figure i've got a 50/50 chance of being right LOL

  • I have a small feeling it's a boy - only because I find myself calling the baby "he" when I don't realize it. Lol. But other than that I always thought I'd have a girl!?

  • I swore I knew with DD the minute I took the test-- I even bought pink Nikes the next day!  We were team green, but I could only focus on girl names and girl nursery things... guess my gut was right!  This time, I am not so sure.  I felt boy because I feel so different than I did with DD, but at times I have a nagging feeling maybe this baby is a girl.  If I had to guess, I would go with boy.

  • With Henry I KNEW it was a boy. From my first pre-natal (the midwife read it to me from my chart after he was born!) I just knew. I even secretly bought some boy stuff!

With this one I keep saying girl, but I have this nagging feeling it's another boy...

  • With DD I just KNEW it was a boy...and I was completely wrong! With this one, I don't have any strong feeling one way or another yet.

  • I've been trusting my "feelings" a lot lately.  Before I got my BFP I had a "feeling" that I was pregnant.  Now I have a feeling that our baby is a Girl!  I don't know why, I just do!  I would be happy either way.

  • Your feeling has a 50% chance of being right. Otherwise it's just gas.
  • I'm kinda feeling like we are having a boy... I don;t know why but that is just my gut feeling! I'm not sure why because everyone on both sides of the family have had girls but I figure something has to give and someone has to have a boy!

We don't care either way...we just want a healthy little one :)

I was the same way!  I haven't been off the pill for that long, so I was still feeling out my cycle when I started feeling queasy.  I thought I was 9 or 10 days late but was getting negative HPT, so I went for a blood test--my doctor said the levels made me about a week pregnant, which is why all the tests were negative.  And the day after we found out I was pregnant, DH and I both had a moment (separately) when we felt like we were having a girl.  I guess we'll see if we're right in a couple of months!

  • With my daughter, I knew. Like it never really crossed my mind that she was anything but a girl. So weird.

This time, I feel like boy. And again, I don't know why. I guess we'll find out! FWIW, I don't care if it's a boy or girl, and I'd love for DD to have a sister. So who knows!

  • Yeah, I had a real strong 'motherly intuition' feeling that my first pregnancy was a girl.  We were shocked when a boy came out.  So much for that.

  • I do feel like I'm having a boy. I have no real distinct reason why, it's just a "feeling." My husband and I are happy with either as long as he/she is healthy! My brother is determined he is getting a nephew, so I haven't told him yet I think it's a boy. It's more fun to counter-argue. (:

  • Yep.  I knew Lily was a girl.  ::shrugs::

This time around I am thinking boy...however I am not as sure as I was with Lily.  This pregnancy is SO similar to my first that it has me thinking it could be a girl.

We will find out in September.

  • If this isn't a girl I will probably fall off the ultrasound table! That's how sure I am with this feeling!

with DD EVERYONE thaought it was a biy, we were sure.  SO much so when she was born my mother thought the enlarged woo hoo area was boys parts, but she was agirl (and I was happy as I secretly wanted a girl).

This one I think is a boy I am only 8 weeks, but this pregnancy has been SO different I am so sick all the time, which I was not with DD.

  • DH and I both KNEW it was a boy from the start as did everyone we know.  While in labor I said lets finalize the girl name just in case.

Thank god we did because we have a beautiful girl.

I would not go decorating the nursery based on a feeling you have.

This pregnancy has been very different so maybe it is a boy this time....haha

  • I knew with my DD6 and DS5-gut feeling. Dh wants another girl this go round, I dont really care, but my gut is telling me its a boy. Although, Im having hell coming up with girl names, so based on my luck its a girl LOL.

  • I really thought DS was a girl and obviously that was wrong so this time I'm not even going to guess.
  • We both feel that its a girl. The due date the same week as mine, my moms and my sisters birthday plus my best friends daughter. So I can't imagine a boy being born that week lol Silly I know, but it is just as logical as the Chinese chart, right?

  • I knew I was having a girl when I was first pregnant with my daughter.

This time I think it's a boy, but that's based more on the fact that I have had almost zero morning sickness this time around.

In my family, it's typical to have morning sickness with girls, but not with boys.

  • I just had this gut feeling that I was pregnant with a boy the first time around and sure enough I was: )

I have the same feeling with this one too. I am fairly certain we will be having another boy!: )
