Two Under 2

please give me some encouragement...

Yesterday was horrible. Today is the evil stepmother of the wicked witch of horrible.

2 cranky kids. DS is teething & having allergy issues & was screaming so hard he threw up everywhere. DD had a massive blowout that required me cutting her clothes off of her. She thinks she's a big girl so when she sees her brother, she does sit-ups in her bouncy chair & tries to run after him, then screams when she can't because- duh, she's still too little [she hasn't gotten the memo yet].

Oh, & I did I mention that they both woke up early so they are both overly tired??

Seriously, pray for me. Tongue Tied

  • Ah, on of those days! I've been there. The best you can do is try to get through it and when the day is done enjoy a nice glass of wine and a bubble bath or go to sleep early. Oh, and a good cry never hurt anyone!

I hope your day gets better!

  • On these days I get the toddler a sippy cup of milk, put her on one side of me in the recliner, the baby on my lap, and we rock and watch a kids' movie for a little while for some peace. Hopefully one or both of them will fall asleep in the chair!! These days are survival of the fittest and I am not above resorting to cartoons.

  • On those days I usually make a second pot of coffee at about 2PM.  I also put them in the jogging stroller and go for a LOOOONG walk.  Long long long.

We have had a rough couple of weeks here too.  Strep throat, teething, and a host of other minor things.  Hang in there!
