elevated IgE levels - need some help with this

longest story short, I have lost many pregnancies, and we're FINALLY honing in on why.

basically, I have a blood clot issue, and evidently, elevated IgE levels (223 right now) that say I'm allergic to something. Great.

What?

So I'll go through the allergen testing (HOW do they do this, by the way??? where do they start, it could be ANYTHING!) but is elimination of whatever I'm allergic to my only way of "treating" it?

My wheels are spinning, I guess any advice or thoughts are welcome. Thanks.

  • do you ever have any symptoms? rashes, blood, bad BMs? Stomach issues?

Last year I asked my doc, why does my son have so many allergies if neither me or my DH have none and she said, i bet you if i test you, you will be positive for something but your body knows how to handle it.  Later that week i read the same thing in a book.

But it wouldn't hurt for you to make an appointment with an Allergist and have him/her test you for the top 8 + sesame (milk, soy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, fish, shell fish) and if you're positive for any of these, eliminate and see how you feel.

Also, if i was you, i would eliminate dairy and go organic for a bit.. i see so many people having issues and are not allergic but as soon as they go on a non-dairy/organic diet, their health improves so much.  Be cautious of soy also. Nowadays, soy is regenerated and only should be used in moderation.

  • thanks!

I happen to score an allergy-testing appt next week, I'm so happy. I have LOTS of symtoms of something (the worst one being repeat pregnancy loss, bigtime) but who knows what's from an allergy, what's from meds, etc.
