XP 6-9 Lent out my moby and now I am sad... ellaroo?

So, I hadn't used my moby in a while since LO has been trying to learn to crawl and being more independent, so I lent it to a friend who is due in October. However, now LO is going through a clingy phase and I miss being able to wrap her up. I have an ergo, mei tei, and ring sling but the RS hurts my back and the ergo and mei tei aren't very snuggly. LO is very alert in them whereas she would nestle in when in the moby. I can't ask for my moby back and LO will probably be too big for it by the time I get it back so I'm considering an Ellaroo. I found one for $50. Should I go for it? Is that a decent price for a used one?

ETA: LO is a peanut. Only about 13 pounds, if that helps.

  • The Ellaroo and Moby are completely different kinds of fabric. I have no idea if the price is decent since I received my Ellaroo as a gift, but I would love to get a Moby for the newborn phase if I ever have another LO. I don't know, the Ellaroo wasn't my favorite thing in the world, but DD also grew out of it very quickly (I didn't have enough fabric to support a long baby with no head control yet).

October is still a few months away. Can't you explain the situation to your friend and "borrow" your Moby back?

  • I love my Ellaroo. It's not as snuggly and soft as the Moby but definitely not as hot, either. My LO is about 16 1/2 lbs and we do well with it. You have to wrap more carefully than the Moby. I got my Ellaroo for $40 so $50 is a very fair price.

  • my ellaroo was $85 so you are getting a very fair price (im assuming its a 4.7m)
