DD is almost 5 months old, and up until 4 nights ago, she went to sleep for the night between 7-8pm. She'll wake up during the night 2-4 times, and she usually wakes up for the day about 7am. The past few nights, however, she's been going to be at normal time but will wake up half an hour later and be up until 930-10:00. She still sleeps well and wakes about 7-8 am. She kind of wants to play. She's been working on sitting up from a lying position since she was 7 weeks old and can do it if I hold her legs. So maybe she's awake to work on that milestone? I'm not sure. I've also had some challenging days this past week, so maybe my milk is becoming acidic and hurting her tummy. Is that possible? She's EBF.
Anyway, anyone hear of this or experience this? I'm just mostly concerned that she get the sleep she needs and not fall into a sleep deficit. Even though she's getting lots of hours of sleep, I still feel like she's overtired.
Thanks, mamas!
ETA: We haven't changed her bedtime routine at all. She's clearly tired, but it's like she's napping when it's bed time.
Re: XP: Please tell me this is a phase?
Turn on the vacuum. Or go in there and show her again it's bedtime- do whatever you do. Hold her in your arms and pat her.
But I'm lazy. As I type, I have my baby in a crib with the vacuum on. Crazy, I know, but it's how I got her to sleep for 2 naps today and even though she's CLEARLY tired, she refuses to sleep. It's going to be a long hard night.
This is exactly what I'm going through as I type this!!!
