When did you tell your (3-ish) year old you were having a baby. Our plan is to wait until 15-17 weeks, when its noticable... and when everyone else knows. lets face it, my kids are chatter boxes and the world will know if we tell them. And they have NO concept of time.... waiting until February? huh?

Re: moms of preschool-ish age kiddos
My kids always went to all appointments with me....so they knew as soon as we had a solid confirmation. (U/S pictures in hand.)
I agree children are not patient at waiting, but it is all good.
With W M was 2 1/2 when we found out. We talked about it openly, but didn't really talk to him about it until after the 1st ultrasound (7 weeks).
This time we have told him pretty much since day one. He doens't talk about it, but when we do he wants to. He likes thinking of names and asks if baby will go to the same hospital/doctor.
We didn't plan to tell Meg until after we told our family (12 weeks) but we actually held off a little longer than that and asked family to not mention it to her as our situation was a little bit different. But I would say 12 weeks for an almost 3 year old.
Steal my kids picture or pretend they are yours, I will find where you live and ship all of their dirty diapers to your doorstep. Promise.
I was noticeable by like 10 weeks! LOL And hannah came to the first u/s at 8wks. Of course she was a lot younger and not sure she really understood until she came to the hospital and saw me holding a baby!
We told hime when we had a confirmed ultra sound. He really didn't care
My SIL sent a book about my baby week by week and has kid activities and he really likes that. It starts at 5 weeks so we have gotten a lot of use out of it.
