First off I EBF andI am allergic to cows milk so I consume non of it. I tried soy milk for the sake of giving LO something. She was very very gassy when I had it. Now I wonder if she intolerant to it. Also this happens when I eat pop corn and eggs. Naturally I stopped consuming the soy milk, eggs and pop corn.
Also my oldest DD developed intolerance to milk and eggs as a teen. When do you know for sure there is an issue with LO? what else could happen besides the gas pains?
I figured here would be the start as you have been through this with your LOs. She goes to the pedi next Tuesday and I want to make sure I am asking the right questions so I don't get the run around.
Thank you!
Re: Curious allergy questions
since food allergies run in your family i would get her tested when she turns 6 months or 1 (or what ever the doctor recommends) but since you don't consume it, it's hard to test your LO without giving her actual dairy.
Many kids with a dairy allergy are also allergic to soy (50% or more).. so she may have MSPI or full allergy. i would speak to your pedi about getting her tested
