Diaper and STTN

I have never heard of this but I am a FTM.... My LO has been sleeping long stretches for a while and I have never put any creams/lotions on her. I have been reading in posts that people are putting diaper creams on before long stretches of diaper wearing. What are you using? Has it helped? If she is having no issues would you start?

I do use Aquaphor or A/d ointment when I remember. Mostly after bath time. She's never really had issues with rashes, and I would say if you didn't have problems that I wouldn't start.

I do only at night. DD sleeps from 10-6:30 typically. I use California Baby because we have cloth diapers and that's safe to use with them (I use hemp cloth for overnight). We haven't had any rash issues.

If I think about it I use regular vaseline. She doens't get rashes, but her tiny bottem will get a little red, so this helps to keep that from happening. Plus now that she is sleeping 6-9 hours, who wants to have a wet rag rubbing against you all night?? Ewww!

This. I use A&D at when I noticed her bottom getting red. It's better to prevent it at the first signs I think. I'm a FTM too, and I say there is nothing better than a mother's intuition. If you think it's needed, do it. If you don't, then don't! I also noticed that a tiny bit goes a long way, at this age anyways.
