Q about taking lo to a hospital...

Hello ladies,

So I wanted to ask about your thoughts for taking dd to the hospital to visit her grandpa... Originally I wouldn't even dream of taking her, but my father's stay isn't as "routine" as I had thought.  I would really like to take her if it isn't going to be dangerous for her.

She just turned two months and she is getting her shots on Thursday, but I was hoping to visit my dad tomorrow (Wed.)

What do you think?  Is this a no no?  I would be wearing her if that makes any difference... be honest, I don't want to put my lo in any type of unhealthy environment.  TIA

  • E was with me most of the time while I was in the hospital. That was 2.5 days. She was fine. She didn't get sick at all.

  • As long as he isn't sick you should be good.  My mom had back surgery a couple of weeks ago and I went down to the L&D floor and asked the nurses if they thought it would be safe to bring M to visit.  They said it was fine but just don't let strangers touch her and just take her to my mom's room and not wander around the hospital. She was fine after and it made her grandmas day getting to see her.

  • I say if you havn't had an issues with her health yet, take her. It'll make your father's day getting to see her. Like PP said, I wouldn't go on a tour of the whole facility which I'm sure you didn't plan, but straight to your dad's room and then back out without any strangers interacting and messing with her and I think you will be fine :) Try to enjoy the outting and not worry too much!
