If not UTI then what????

I have been having an odd pain after I empty my bladder for awhile now. Like a horrible pressure type pain that raises up through my belly after I pee then it is gone after I pee.  I posted it about it awhile ago.  I called my docs office and they said they would test my urine at the next appointment.  So they did and nothing showed up and they said they would send it to the lab just to double check again.  I was supposed to call for my results today.  I called and talked to the nurse that I always talk to.  It is a small practice with one nurse and one doc and usually she just tells me the results.  This time she told me the results came in but I needed to wait for the Dr. to give me a call.  EEEEEKKKKK!!!!  What could they have found from just testing my urine?  If they found no bacteria at the office then what did they find in the lab??? I am freaking

    I have had a strange feeling esp in the morning.  I think LO likes to sleep on my bladder.  I feel like I can't go all the way and then after I'm up for 30 min or so I have to go really bad!! 

    Let us know what your Dr. has to say!!

    The urine culture could've revealed the presence of bacteria (indicating a UTI), excess protein excretion, or excess glucose excretion. They can also check for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea in the urine. It sounds like you might just have a UTI. Good Luck...

    Totally don't have chlamydia or Gonorrehea or DH would have a lot of explaining to do!  What would excess protein mean?  I still have not heard back from the Dr.  Thank you for your response

    I suggest asking for an ultrasound of your kidneys - u could have kidney stones like myself and some others.

    Apparently (and I didn't know this until a little over a month ago) -- symptoms from passing kidney stones and UTIs are very similar.

    As frustrating as it is (for me) - there's nothing that can be done about large kidney stones (in your kidneys) until after the baby is born - so I just have to hope no more flake off causing the stone passing symptoms i was having before.

    Well that would just suck.  I am so sorry that you are having to deal with that.  I am getting more and more afraid it could be something like that because I am having some sharp pains in my back/side area where the kidneys are.  I wish my doctor would just call me so I can see what is going on.

    Well My doctor just called back and said that they found nothing!  I was all worked up over nothing!  He attributes the pain to normal pregnancy stuff. Baby is just maybe laying on something or squishing something.

    I've had this on and off, depending if she's snuggling in on my bladder or if it's full. My doctor said that if you are pg and have a full bladder, it's not uncommon for the uterus to contract a little when you pee...totally normal. They did the same this for me, testing for UTI, kidney and bladder infections, only to come up with nothing.
