NBR: route from Rockville to Baltimore

I have to be in Baltimore at 9:30am on Friday.  I'm coming from Rockville.  How much time should I allow to get there?  And what's the best route?  On google maps it takes me 270, 495, to 95 but I'm thinking there may be another route that would be better given traffic.  Any thoughts? (We just moved here a few months ago so I'm not familiar with traffic patterns, etc.) Thanks!

    I would probably go north on 270 and then East on 70.  I dont think 70 is too horrible in the mornings, though this isn't my commute at all.  And going North on 270 you'll at least go against traffic.

    Another way is to take 108 to 32 to 95. I reverse commuted from the Shady Grove area to Baltimore for a couple of years and that's the way I always went. I would suggest giving yourself plenty of time, though. It should be 70-80 minutes to downtown Baltimore ideally, but the earlier you leave the less traffic you'll face. Just time the 108 portion so it's either well before or well after Sherwood start times.
