Carseat positions

So, I am planning on putting DS1's carseat behind the passenger's seat and DS2's in the middle. Then DH asked me if that will be a potential grabbing/hitting issues for DS1. So, is it? Would it be better to put DS2's seat behind the driver?

(My pros for the middle seat position were that I could more easily ride in the backseat if necessary and the baby would be further away from potential side-impact issues. Plus, DH would be able to push the driver's seat back further since he has longer legs and rarely is in the passenger seat.)

    That's what I'm thinking of doing too... otherwise, no one can seat in the back... I haven't installed the second seat yet. I sure hope it fits in the middle!

    My car's latch system works only in the seats, not in the middle so I have DS1 behind the passenger seat and DS2 behind the driver's seat.  Nobody else can sit back there.

    we use the latch system and have DD1 (front facing now) behind drivers, and DD2 rear facing behind passenger seat.   DD1 would mess with DD2 if they were right next to each other....not being mean, but trying to be helpful with pacis, etc, which ould not turn out well
