My DS completed his first day of daycare on Monday, and I was very pleased and relieved that the center took such care to note his allergies. There is a huge sign in his classroom and in the other classroom that states the kids who have allergies and what they are allergic to. Also, there is a sign in his cubbie that says,"DID YOU TOUCH..., IF SO, WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE YOU TOUCH....His eczema was not flared, and that is a tell-tell sign that he has been in contact with an allergen. When I went to pick him up, he was jumping and playing with one of the teachers, and that also made me feel really good to know that they don't just stick the kids in a swing and don't interact with them. I pray that I continue to be pleased with their level of care. 3 more months before we head back for another RAST, please keep your fingers crossed that his levels have gone down, and thank you for all of your reassuring comments, they really helped me calm down.
