TTC after Mirena?

I had mine removed 05/02/11, spotted for a few days and had a regular cycle starting 06/16. I took a prego test this morning (5 days early) and it was negative. Trying not to be bummed out because I have heard that it can take a while for everything to go back to normal but I was also told (by my Dr) that I could get prego the day it was taken out. We got prego with Baby #1 on our first month of trying so I was being hopeful that it would be just as easy this time. I'm hoping todays' test was a false negative since it's only 53% accurate this early.

Anyone else TTC after having a Mirena IUD?

I got mine taken out on 5/2 as well! Small world, lol. DH and I are TTC and this was our first month actively trying. I found out through charting that my first cycle was annovulatory, but the next 2 cycles I have ovulated on cd18 and 21 respectively. Not far enough past O to begin testing though, hopefully next Thursday if my temps stay up.

Do you know for sure when you ovulated? If not, maybe you had a later ovulation date than normal and are further out from your period than you think. If this month isn't it for your BFP, I highly recommend charting! You should be able to get PG right away, that is what is nice about Mirena. I am in the same boat as you. We got lucky with our first, but not expecting for it to be as easy this time around. We'll see what happens, I'm waiting to get my first AF since my Mirena was removed which should be any day! GL to you.

My sister in law had hers removed that day and she's pregnant now...got pregnant in her June cycle. I got mine removed a couple weeks after that and I didn't get pregnant in my June cycle.

I had mine removed June 2-- the doc said the same thing-- and I haven't even had a period. I'm getting a little frustrated ;( I'm calling my doc on cd50, but did your docs say anything to you about if/when to call?

I got mine out on June 2nd (I guess the 2nd is a popular removal date). I had regular cycles on Mirena, so none of that changed. However, my first AF off Mirena (on 6/20) was horrific and so heavy.

I've heard before it's best to give yourself a full cycle before trying just so your lining has time to build up after being so minimal while having Mirena.

Be patient - it's only been a few weeks!

I had mine removed May 16, I had some withdrawal bleeding and then a "period" 3 weeks later (June 6). I am fairly confident I O'd based on symptoms alone. I then had another cycle 31 days later with af arriving July 6. I *think I O'd around day 18 or 19, and I knew our timing was off. Here we are, I will be aiming to be very active in the next week between days 14 & 21 in hopes of success. I am temping this cycle in hopes of confirrming O. Also, because if we are not successful we will try OPKs or preseed next cycle and want a better idea of when to time.

My OB told me it can take any where from days up to 3 months before you will have a cycle. Before DS I had 28 day cycles (only 2 of them before out BFP). and these are definetly different both length of af (was 4 days now 7) and length of cycle.
