  I wrote back in March that I had had sex once that month and it was 5 days before I O'd (I was charting).  I did not think it was possible to get a BFP that month but to my surprise I did.  Some of you wrote that according to the Shettles method it would have to be a girl and told me to report back when I knew.  Well Shettles was accurate with this case.  I just found out we are having a little GIRL :-)

  I just had the same thing happen to me. I didn't realize that you could concieve when having sex that far before O'ing. I was absolutely shocked when I got my BFP. We are having a girl as well. Congrats to you!

  Congrats, that's fantastic! Also good to hear about it timing-wise. I've read about Dr. Shettles and some of the other schools of thought and held some minor fascination for the theories. Cool to know there may be some truth to it...

  Thanks for the update!

   I hope the Shettles method works... my husband is obsessed with having a boy for our first child, so is convinced that we have to follow Shettles to the tee.  I just laugh at him, but we shall see (if I could get a freakin' BFP).

  That's really cool! I had thought I wanted a girl and thought about going by that method, but it's taking a while as it is, and I'll just be happy either way now!
