I found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks. Not complaining because I broke my foot like 2 weeks later and had to get a lot of xrays, so I'm glad I knew, but it has been taking SOOO LOONNNGGGG to get to this point! Even when I went from 4 week to 2 week appointments, it didn't really click, but yesterday at my appointment my OB said that she would see me in 2 weeks and then we would go to weekly.

Whaa?? I think my toddler is distracting me from how close I am to my due date! lol
Re: There's nothing like going to 1 week appointments to make it click!
It's crazy how much your toddler can occupy your time and mind. I remember obsessing about every little thing when I was pregnant with DD1, this time I actually have to check my ticker to remember how many weeks I am sometimes!
At the end of my midwives appointment yesterday my midwife said "I'll see you next week!" and it really hit home. I realize I have so many things left on my to-do list and it's crunch time now!
I had to write the weeks down on my calendar because friends and family kept asking how far along I was, and I couldn't remember! Having a 3 year old to chase around sure does make this pregnancy sooo much different (and faster!) than the first.
Yes, toddlers are a good distraction from pregnancy. At my last appt. my doctor said See you next week and we will start doing internal exams from then until the end, that kind of took me by surprise. I have a pregnancy ticker app on my phone and alot of times I have to look at that if someone asks how far along/how much time I have to go. Sometimes if feel like I was so anxious just to see DD#1, I would have given anything to have her starting at around 38 weeks. This time around, I am hoping that LO stays inside as long as possible because this is the easy part right here while she's inside!
