Next week I will be flying to Louisville, KY to see a friend of mine. I haven't flown in 10 years, so I'm nervous & I'm wondering what I should bring just in case I don't feel well, or what have u.

Re: for those who've flown while pg
You haven't flown in 10 years? Holy crap! Oh the money I would have saved ...
I've flown in every trimester. Second trimester there's not much to bring, except a book or a magazine. In first tri, I carried granola bars and almonds to keep morning sickness at bay. In third tri, I took a small pillow for my back and wore really comfy shoes. You'll be fine. Traveling alone is easy --- enjoy it before you add a screaming toddler to the mix.
ETA: Are you bringing your toddler? Because that is a whole other bag of beans.
I flew in the first tri when I was really sick and it was no big deal.
Lots of water, snacks, and be sure to stretch your legs
I flew early in 1st tri and will fly again end of 2nd tri. Service on flights compared to 10 years ago sucks horribly. Remember to avoid the back-scatter X-ray machines (the ones that put you in a solid box, not the clear boxes or the metal detector) and request a pat-down if necessary.
Bring solid snacks. Jelly, pastes, and fluids are forbidden unless in containers that are clearly labeled at under 3 fl oz (not enough to drink from, anyway).
Get an aisle seat so you can use the bathroom more easily.
Also, my doctor told me to not cross my legs while flying and to stretch and walk around as much as possible --- this is to avoid blood clots, which pregnancy + high altitudes puts you at high risk.

I flew across the Atlantic in both the first and second trimesters. My doc recommended lots of water, getting up and moving around frequently, and circulation socks (for the long haul flight - she said shorter ones are no big deal). I brought two liters of water on board with me and drank them both (plus water when the flight attendants went around) on the 8 hour journey. I also brought some snacks with me, but by the second tri I didn't really need them.
Good luck!
