We are taking a family trip to Tulsa at the end of August and I am doing my research on restaurants now so we have a list of safe places for DD to eat who has a peanut allergy but we are also avoiding tree nuts.
It's a long shot but I thought I would ask here to see if anyone knows of any safe/good restaurants we should look up in Tulsa.
Thanks!
Re: Long Shot - Tulsa Restaurants
I've never been to Tulsa, but we have had success with a few large chain restaurants. One of them is Red Robin (and I just googled and there is one in Tulsa). When you go in, tell them what allergens you are avoiding, and they will print up an entire menu with choices that DD will be able to eat.
DS is also severely allergic to peanuts/tree nuts and that is a restaurant that I don't hesitate to bring him to. Once we pick something from the limited menu (and there are a ton of kid food items that are safe), I still reiterate his allergy (and the severity of it) to the waitress to make sure that they use entirely new pans, change their gloves, new serving spoons (that haven't been used in the same pot of food, etc.).
